The simple
lines of the President’s Residence provide a backdrop to the richness of
Israeli artistic tradition. Every section of the Residence, from the front
gate, designed by Bezalel Schatz, to the floor in the salon covered in Persian
carpets, is furnished with objets d’art.
In keeping
with the original purpose of the President’s Residence, the building, which
serves as both office and residence for the President of the State, is also a
museum that displays the nation’s cultural heritage.
