The gardens surrounding the President's Residence were planned by landscape architect Miller-Blum, in cooperation with the architect of the President's Residence, Abba Elchanani. They extend over a 2,500 meter area and fulfill several functions. The gardens consist of terraced rocky slopes, spacious lawns, flowerbeds, and an amphitheater for official ceremonies. The gardens were meticulously designed, including the many trees and plants that are of Eretz Israel origin. Scattered throughout the garden are sculptures created by Israel's finest artists. There is also an archeological garden, containing artistic works left by the earliest settlers in the land of Israel.
