The President’s Residence offers the information in this on-line Web site (hereinafter: the service) subject to the following stipulations:

The term “user” shall hereinafter mean: any person who makes contact or communicates with the service.

“Publications of the President’s Residence” or “the protected material” shall mean: the texts and/or pictures and/or video clips and/or voice files and/or speech files or any other information that appears in this site.

Copyrights

Under the copyright laws in effect in Israel today, the copyrights to the publications of the President’s Residence, including those that appear in this site, belong to the State of Israel.

The user is entitled to make “fair use” of the protected material under the laws set forth in the law and also to quote from the protected material in a reasonable way.

Persons making lawful use of quotations from the protected material under law must state that the source material comes from the internet site of the President's Residence. Likewise, the user is forbidden to use the protected material in any way that distorts, violates, or changes it or to perform any activity that can reduce the value of the protected material or that may impinge upon the name or dignity of the President’s Residence.

Liability

The State of Israel shall not bear responsibility for any adaptation of the information that appears in the service to the needs of the user. Likewise, the State of Israel shall not bear any responsibility for any damage incurred by the user or any third party as a direct or collateral result of the use of the service or the information displayed in the service. The information displayed in the service, as well as the service itself, are given “as is.” For the purposes of this clause, the State of Israel shall include employees and representatives of the State and of the President's Residence.

Official Publications of the State of Israel

In the event that any contradiction or incompatibility arises between material published in the service and information that appears in the official publications of the State of Israel, precedence shall be given to information that appears in the official publications.

Copyrights Concerning Artistic Works

It is forbidden to copy or distribute a picture, pictures, or segments of pictures of the artistic works that appear in this site in any form or shape, including in electronic or technical media, without written authorization from the President's Residence.
