President Herzog Pays Tribute to Fallen IDF Soldiers of the Nahal Brigade
On March 31, 2026, President Isaac Herzog visited IDF soldiers of the “Panther” Battalion prior to the Passover festival. In his address to the soldiers of the battalion, President Herzog paid tribute to the four IDF soldiers of the Nahal Brigade who fell in combat last night in southern Lebanon.

President Isaac Herzog:
“Last night, Noam, Ben, Gilad, and Maksim of Nahal Reconnaissance Battalion fell in battle. I wish to extend my condolences to the bereaved families, to embrace the wounded and pray for their recovery, and from here to send a message of unity and love of Israel to all.
“I wish for all of you that you will know no more war, that you will go in peace and return in peace, and that God will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore.
“I trust that you will continue defending our homeland; that we will emerge from this campaign with a clear victory, defeat the enemy, and bring good tidings to the people of Israel.“
